As far as movies, you can go to www.mopix.org. You can get puton their mailing list, and they'll send you a weekly update as to new movies and movie theatres that offer vide description on first-run movies. There are a couple cable networks that offer open described video, but their names escape me at the moment. I think some of the Turner Classic Movies offer them. I know some titles are being released on DVD, albeit slowly. Your right in that PBS does he lion's share of described videos. a lot of this started at WGBH in boston, so you can visit www.wgbh.org and scroll through the links.

I think AMC (American Movie Classics) is one of the cable stations that have open description. Also, if you have a VCR and don't mind video tapes as opposed to DVD's, call toll free 1-800-333-1203 for the entire list of audio described movies available on video. You can either order them from that number or, maybe, they give you another number to call for ordering. But also try public libraries for borrowing audio desc rib ed movies and Blockbuster video stores if there are any in your area for renting or buying movies.

CC2 is for closed captioning for people with hearing disabilities. The setting you need it on for descriptive video is to go into your audio settings and change it from stereo to sap. Though, once you're done watching that particular channel, remember to turn it back to stereo because i left it on sap once and forgot that this morning news show runs Spanish on their sap audio feed, LOL!
